Strawberry Hazelnut Pav

"Chef Colin" kindly invited me and babs to have eggs benedict at his place today for breakfast. It was awesome. He made the hollandaise sauce himself - brilliant! :) Thanks mate! hehe

I didnt have time to bake anything so I put together quickly a Strawberry Hazelnut Pavlova at his place immediately after breakfast. I think it tasted awesome, except that the amount of cream didnt suit his liking. I was pleased he had a few pieces.

His wifey also had some but his kids werent too fond of it - haha..the youngest boy stuck his tongue out when I asked him if he wanted to eat some (that meant he thought it was yucky! haha I love kids honestly, I really do). And oh my, his kids are so SOOOOOoo adorable!!!

Basically, it's a layer of hazelnut meringue - topped with whipped cream, chopped fresh strawberries and generous drizzle of warm chocolate ganache.

After we left his place, we wanted to go home but ended up driving aimlessly until we were at Auburn. We had to turn back since we werent sure of the suburb. Some areas looked like bogan-ville! HAHAHA. We ended up in Top Ryde shopping centre, had coffee there, bought a few things from Aldi and got our cash washed.

So yeah, that's Sunday for us. Havent had dinner yet, at the moment, Im thinking of cooking tom yam soup with fish and noodles. SUPER YUMMMMMS....

Early Birthday Dinner at Nagoya

Babs took me to Nagoya in Haymarket for an early birthday dinner. Well, he asked me what I wanted to eat and I couldnt decide until the last minute. I came back from work last Saturday and was just in time to arrive at the restaurant about 5.30pm for an early dinner. My oh My. It was meaty heaven!!!! YUM YUM..we really had a lot to eat..but not as much as we used to eat! This is the picture that I took of the meat nicely placed on the bbq thingy:

I could eat this everyday! Im too greeedy!! YUM YUM

After dinner, we had to walk before we got back to the car, so we walked around chinatown. Got home early about 10ish, stopped by Woolies to get some stuff before home.
